ISST PRIVACY POLICY & GDPR AGREEMENT

CANCELLATION POLICY:

Under EU law, you can return any purchase within 14 days without justification (14-day cooling-off period). After this 14-day period, no refunds will be issued, regardless of the reason for cancellation.
If a registrant is unable to attend an event for any reason, they may substitute—by arrangement with the registrar—another person to attend in their place.
Where substitution is not possible, the following applies:

IN-PERSON ATTENDANCE
Cancellations within 14 days of purchase: 100% refund of registration fees, minus an administration fee of €15.
Cancellations made more than 14 days after purchase: No refunds are possible as online streaming and recorded streams are available.

VISA ISSUES
If a visa application is denied, and written notification is received at least 14 days before the conference starts, the registration fees will be refunded minus a €15 administration fee.
If notification is received later than 14 days before the event, no refund will be possible.
Alternatively, an online ticket may be offered as above.

ONLINE ATTENDANCE
Cancellations within 14 days of purchase: 100% refund of registration fees, minus an administration fee of €15.
Cancellations made more than 14 days after purchase: No refunds available as online streaming and recorded streams are available.

FORCE MAJEURE
In the case of cancellation due to force majeure, refunds will be considered on a case-by-case basis by the Treasurer of the ISST.
Important: All bank charges related to returned fees will be at the registrant’s expense.

COUNTRY CATEGORY AND MEMBERSHIP VERIFICATION
For participants registering under the B-Country fee category or with a Membership Ticket, the ISST reserves the right to request proof of eligibility (e.g., official residence, citizenship, valid ISST membership, or professional association membership).
If such proof cannot be provided upon request, the registration will be adjusted to the appropriate fee category, and the participant will be required to pay the difference in order to maintain registration status.

SANCTIONS AND EXPORT COMPLIANCE:
The ISST Organization complies with applicable EU, US and international sanctions regulations, as amended from time to time. We do not offer or provide services, products, events, or memberships to individuals or entities located in jurisdictions subject to comprehensive sanctions under applicable law, including, but not limited to Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, and the regions of Crimea, Luhansk, and Donetsk.
